Multiplayer action game, Streamline, tears down barriers between Broadcasters, Players, and Viewers to create new game genre

In Proletariat’s genre-defining Stream First Game, live-streaming becomes the platform, and Players battle it out with Broadcasters while Viewers change the game in real-time

Boston MA, 14 Mar 2016: Proletariat announced today it is developing Streamline, a multiplayer Stream First action game for the PC that pushes the boundaries of live-streaming and audience interaction. For the first time, a game is being built from the ground-up to take advantage of the real-time interaction opportunities live-streaming provides, not only for the Broadcasters and Players, but for hundreds of thousands of Viewers as well. Broadcasters and Players can seamlessly play together while Viewers change the game rules, physics, or environments in real-time to help or hinder crowd favorites or sponsored Players. Streamline blends the friendly competition of an arena-based multiplayer game with a new form of interaction for everyone to create a new genre: Stream-first Games. Streamline will be available to play on the Expo Floor of the Game Developers Conference starting March 16 in Booth 1224.

Streamline enables Broadcasters to quickly create a party for up to 15 of their Viewers and immediately jump into one of several game modes, such as a fast-paced game of cat and mouse, with the Broadcaster as a Hunter chasing down the other Players as Runners or a stream versus stream team game pitting multiple Broadcasters and their communities against one another. Meanwhile, stream Viewers can use their web browser or mobile device to bet on or sponsor Runners, vote to change the rules of the game, and win rewards and recognition by playing mini-games driven by the on-stream action. This unique second screen experience allows the Broadcaster and Viewers to interact in a natural, lag-free way and keep the channel conversation flowing without being interrupted by “chat commands.“
